Cookware
Most online cookware in Australia ships from overseas warehouses, which is why "fast delivery" usually means six weeks. Ours doesn't. We hold stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses and dispatch within 1-2 business days. Cookware from $25.
What cookware do I need?
A starter kitchen needs one large frying pan, one deep saucepan, one stockpot and a chopping board. Add a wok, cast iron pan and baking sheets as your cooking style expands. Match cookware material to your cooktop — induction cooktops only work with magnetic bases.
What types of cookware are available?
You'll find non-stick, stainless steel, cast iron, ceramic and copper styles. Each suits different cooking techniques:
| Type | Best For | Price Guide | Key Feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| Non-Stick | Eggs, fish, quick meals | $25–$120 | Low-oil cooking |
| Stainless Steel | Searing, sauces | $40–$300 | Dishwasher safe, durable |
| Cast Iron | Steaks, casseroles | $60–$250 | Retains heat, lasts decades |
| Ceramic | Healthy cooking, low fat | $40–$180 | PTFE and PFOA-free |
| Copper | Precision temperature | $150–$600 | Fastest heat response |
How much does cookware cost in Australia?
Individual pans start from $25. A quality 5-piece starter set sits between $150–$400. Premium cast iron and copper cookware runs $200–$600 per piece. We dispatch within 1–2 business days from our Australian warehouses.
Quick Buyer's Checklist
- Cooktop compatibility: Induction requires magnetic bases — check with a fridge magnet if unsure
- Handle material: Stainless or silicone handles stay cooler than metal on gas cooktops
- Oven-safe rating: Look for 200°C+ oven-safe if you finish dishes in the oven
- Non-stick coating: PFOA-free is now standard; ceramic is the safest option
- Weight: Cast iron is heavy (2–4kg) — check you're comfortable lifting a full pan
What most cookware sites won't admit
Almost every piece of cookware sold online in Australia is imported from China, Vietnam or South Korea — including ours. The real difference isn't where it's made; it's what happens after it lands. Marketplaces dropship straight from overseas containers, which is why "fast delivery" turns into six weeks. We import in bulk, hold stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, and ship from there.
The other thing nobody mentions: cheap non-stick coatings last 12–18 months even with careful use. If you use metal utensils, scrub with steel wool, or crank the heat past medium, that drops to 6 months. If non-stick is your daily driver, buy two mid-range pans and rotate them, rather than one expensive one — you'll get more usable years.

How long does delivery take?
Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane: 3–5 business days. Perth and Adelaide: 5–8 days. Regional and remote areas: 7–14 days.
