Sports & Fitness covers everything from a home gym setup to a backyard trampoline — weights, benches, treadmills, vibration plates, yoga mats, boxing gear, golf clubs, bike accessories and more. Over 670 sports and fitness products in stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, from $30 yoga mats to $1,500 commercial-grade treadmills. Most orders dispatch within 1–2 business days.
How do I build a home gym from scratch?
The order matters more than the budget. Start with a flat or adjustable bench plus an adjustable dumbbell set — these two items cover 80% of the strength work most people do at home. Add a squat rack with a barbell next, then a cardio machine (treadmill, exercise bike or vibration plate, depending on what you'll actually use), and finally accessories like resistance bands, a yoga mat and a foam roller. The mistake most people make is buying the cardio machine first — treadmills are the most-returned, least-used piece of home gym equipment. Bench + dumbbells + rack covers ten times more workouts than a treadmill.
What sports and fitness categories are available?
| Category | Best for | Price guide | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weights and benches | Strength training | $100–$1,000+ | 10–20 years |
| Treadmills | Walking, running | $400–$2,000 | 5–10 years |
| Vibration plates | Low-impact toning | $200–$800 | 5–10 years |
| Pilates, toning, yoga | Flexibility, recovery | $30–$300 | 3–7 years |
| Boxing and MMA | Cardio plus strength | $50–$500 | 3–7 years |
| Trampolines | Family backyard play | $200–$1,500 | 5–15 years |
| Golf | Range, course play | $50–$800 | 5–15 years |
| Bike accessories | Cycling kit-out | $15–$300 | 3–10 years |
Quick buyer's checklist
- Honest use case: Buy what you'll actually use, not what you wish you'd use
- Space: Measure clearance before buying; equipment often arrives bigger than expected
- Floor protection: Heavy gear needs rubber mats on tiles or timber floors
- Weight capacity: Match equipment ratings to your bodyweight plus 50%
- Power source: Treadmills and vibration plates need a 10A standard outlet
- Assembly time: Treadmills 1–2 hours; squat racks 2–3 hours; benches 30–60 min
How much should I spend on a home gym?
A solid functional home gym for under $1,500 is achievable: $300–500 for an adjustable bench and a 40kg adjustable dumbbell set, $400–700 for a squat rack with Olympic barbell and weight plates, $100–200 for accessories (yoga mat, resistance bands, foam roller). That covers the gym work for one person indefinitely. Adding a treadmill or exercise bike pushes the total to $2,000–3,000. Commercial-grade setups (multi-station racks, plate-loaded machines, top-tier treadmills) run $5,000–10,000+. Most home users underspend on the bench (which they use daily) and overspend on the cardio machine (which they use weekly at best).
What most fitness stores won't admit
Almost every fitness product sold online in Australia is imported from China — including ours. The real difference is not where the gear is made, it's what happens after it lands in Australia. Marketplaces dropship straight from overseas containers, which is why "fast delivery" stretches into six weeks. We import in bulk, hold stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, and ship from there.
The other thing nobody mentions: treadmill motor power claims are usually inflated. Listings advertise "5HP peak" or "3.5HP" motors, but the meaningful number is the continuous duty rating (CHP) — the power the motor delivers continuously without overheating. Most $500 treadmills advertised as "3HP" have a continuous rating closer to 1.5HP, which is fine for walking but burns out within 1–2 years if used for running by anyone over 80kg. Always check the CHP, not the peak rating. A 2.5+ CHP treadmill handles regular running for years; anything under 2.0 CHP is a walker-only machine.
Frequently asked questions
What if my equipment arrives damaged?
Contact us within 7 days with photos. We will arrange a replacement or refund under the 12-month warranty. Larger items (treadmills, racks, vibration plates) ship in multiple boxes; check each on arrival.
How long does delivery take?
Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane: 3–5 business days. Perth and Adelaide: 5–8 days. Regional and remote areas: 7–14 days. Bulky items (treadmills, racks) take 1–2 days longer due to freight handling.
Can I pay with Afterpay, Zip or PayPal?
Yes, all three. A $1,000 home gym setup works out to four payments of $250 with Afterpay, four payments of $250 with PayPal Pay in 4, or roughly $83 a month with Zip over 12 months. Klarna is also available.
What's the warranty?
12 months on manufacturing defects, plus 30-day change-of-mind returns on unassembled equipment in original packaging. Treadmills and motorised equipment carry separate motor warranties listed on the product page.
