Massage guns went from niche recovery tool to mainstream household purchase in about three years. Our range covers percussion massage guns, foot massagers, full-body massage chairs, shiatsu neck cushions and professional massage tables. Massage products from $69, with most quality percussion guns between $99 and $399 and massage chairs from $1,499. Stock is held across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, dispatching within 1–2 business days.
Which type of massager do I actually need?
The type depends on what hurts and how long you want to spend on it. A percussion massage gun handles most muscle tightness — back, legs, glutes, shoulders — in 10–20 minute sessions. A foot massager handles standing-all-day soreness and plantar issues; you sit and let it work while you watch TV. A shiatsu neck cushion is the one desk workers use most because it fits on a chair. A full-body massage chair is a chronic-pain solution — useful only if you will actually use it daily. Massage tables suit professional and home therapy use. Buy the massager that matches the problem, not the one with the highest RPM.
What types of massagers are available?
| Type | Best for | Session length | Price guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Percussion gun (full-size) | Back, legs, glutes, deep muscle | 10–20 min | $99–$399 |
| Percussion gun (mini) | Neck, forearms, travel | 5–15 min | $69–$180 |
| Foot massager | Standing all day, plantar pain | 15–30 min | $149–$399 |
| Shiatsu neck cushion | Desk workers, upper back | 15–20 min | $79–$199 |
| Massage chair (full-body) | Chronic pain, whole-body recovery | 15–60 min | $1,499–$4,999 |
Do massage guns actually work?
Yes, for the right job. Research shows percussion massage improves range of motion and reduces perceived muscle soreness after exercise. Where they do not work is on injuries that need a physio — acute tears, nerve pain, joint issues. Use one for tight muscles and post-workout recovery, not for bruises or anything sharp. Two minutes per muscle group is enough; longer does not add benefit and can bruise the tissue. Start on the lowest setting and increase only if the muscle relaxes into it. If it hurts, stop.
Quick buyer's checklist
- Stall force: 25kg+ for real deep-tissue work; anything less stalls under pressure
- Amplitude: 10mm minimum stroke; 12mm+ for therapeutic depth
- Weight: Under 1.2kg so you can reach your own shoulders
- Noise: Under 55dB so it is usable on the couch
- Battery life: Full-power runtime is usually 90–150 min, not the "6 hours" claim
- Attachment heads: Ball for large muscles, bullet for pinpoint, fork for spine
Are massage chairs worth the money?
For chronic back or shoulder issues, yes — a $2,000+ chair used daily for years works out cheap compared to physio sessions. For occasional use, no — a good percussion gun and a foot massager cover 80% of what a chair does at 10% of the cost. Chairs make sense for households where two or more people will use it regularly, or for anyone who works standing all day. Space is a real consideration — full-body chairs need at least 1.8m of clearance behind for the recline to work.
How much do massagers cost in Australia?
Massagers at Simple Deals start from $69 for mini percussion guns. Most full-size percussion guns sit between $99 and $399, foot massagers between $149 and $399, and massage chairs from $1,499. All items dispatch within 1–2 business days from our Australian warehouses.
What most sites won't admit
Almost every massage gun and massage chair sold online in Australia is imported from China — including ours. The real difference is not where the massager is made, it's what happens after it lands in Australia. Marketplaces dropship straight from overseas containers, which is why "fast delivery" stretches into six weeks. We import in bulk, hold stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, and ship from there.
The other thing nobody mentions is that RPM is a misleading headline spec. A cheap gun hits 3,200 RPM on the box because it uses a light motor that stops the moment you press into a tight muscle. What actually decides whether the gun works on a real knot is stall force (kilograms of pressure the motor holds before stalling) and amplitude (how far the head travels per stroke). A 3,000 RPM gun with 25kg stall force and 12mm amplitude out-works a 3,500 RPM gun with 12kg stall force every time. If a product page only shows RPM, they are hiding what matters.
Frequently asked questions
What if my massager arrives damaged?
Contact us within 7 days with photos. We will arrange a replacement or refund under the 12-month warranty. Transit damage is uncommon with boxed items.
How often can you use a massage gun?
Daily is fine for most people. Two minutes per muscle group is the target — going longer does not add benefit. Avoid over-tender or bruised areas.
How long does delivery take?
Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane: 3–5 business days. Perth and Adelaide: 5–8 days. Regional and remote areas: 7–14 days.
Can I pay with Afterpay, Zip or PayPal?
Yes, all three. A $249 massage gun works out to four payments of $62.25 with Afterpay, four payments of $62.25 with PayPal Pay in 4, or roughly $21 a month with Zip over 12 months. Klarna is also available.
What's the warranty?
12 months on manufacturing defects, plus 30-day change-of-mind returns on unopened items in original packaging.
Complete the recovery setup
A massager handles the recovery. A few things go alongside. Most buyers add three at the same time: kettlebells and weights for the training that creates the soreness, maternity pillows for pregnancy-related back and hip pain, and mattresses because sleep is the cheapest recovery tool most people ignore.
