How many cameras do I need for my home?
Most Australian homes cover front door, back yard and one side gate with 3 cameras. A 4-camera NVR system gives one spare for a shed, garage or second driveway angle. Larger properties with detached workshops or long driveways benefit from 6–8 cameras. Look at where a person could enter unseen — those are your camera positions, not corners with a pretty view. One camera on the front door plus one on the back yard covers the two most common entry points and is enough for most rentals and small homes.

Do CCTV cameras need internet to work?
Not to record. A wired NVR system records straight to its own hard drive whether the internet is up or not. You need internet for remote viewing on your phone, cloud backup and push alerts. Battery cameras with a microSD card also record offline. This matters in rural areas or during outages — a system that only records to the cloud stops recording the moment your internet drops. Check the storage option on any camera before buying, especially wireless models that quietly assume cloud subscription for basic recording.

What is the difference between wired and wireless CCTV?
Wired cameras run a cable back to a recording box (NVR) — the recording is always on, the connection is stable, and there is no battery to charge. Wireless cameras use WiFi and either mains power or batteries — install is fast, but the WiFi drops in double-brick houses and the batteries need charging every few weeks. For 1–2 cameras in a rented flat, wireless makes sense. For 4+ cameras on a house you own, wired NVR is more reliable long-term. Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) systems use a single cable for both power and data — worth the extra setup effort for permanent installs.

What most sites won't admit
Almost every CCTV camera sold in Australia is imported from China — including ours. The real difference is not where the camera is made, it's what happens after it lands in Australia. Marketplaces dropship straight from overseas containers, which is why "fast delivery" stretches into six weeks. We import in bulk, hold stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, and ship from there.
The other thing nobody mentions is storage retention. The box says "30-day retention" on the NVR — technically true at 1080p, 4 fps, motion-only. Turn on the 4K continuous recording most buyers actually want, and the same drive fills in 5–7 days. If you want real 14–30 day retention at usable quality, size the hard drive up from day one, or add an external drive. The box maths assumes settings almost nobody uses.

Contact us within 7 days with photos. We will arrange a replacement or refund under the 12-month warranty. Transit damage is uncommon with boxed electronics.
Can I install CCTV myself?
Wireless and battery cameras are DIY-friendly — plug in, connect to the app, mount. Wired NVR systems require cable runs through the roof cavity, which most confident DIYers can do. Hardwired mains-power cameras need a licensed electrician for the power connection.
How long does delivery take?
Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane: 3–5 business days. Perth and Adelaide: 5–8 days. Regional and remote areas: 7–14 days.
Can I pay with Afterpay, Zip or PayPal?
Yes, all three. A $500 CCTV kit works out to four payments of $125 with Afterpay, four payments of $125 with PayPal Pay in 4, or roughly $42 a month with Zip over 12 months. Klarna is also available.
What's the warranty?
