Glider, rocker or recliner — which is most comfortable?
Gliders move on horizontal rails, giving a smooth back-and-forth motion that does not lift the feet off the floor. They are the most popular nursing chair style because the motion is settling for the baby without being motion-sick for the parent. Traditional rockers use a curved base and rock more dramatically — nice if you like a stronger rocking feel, less practical for long feeds because feet leave the floor on each rock. Recliners add a lay-back feature and (usually) a footrest for the parent, useful for late-night feeds when you want to almost sleep.
