Pet Care covers everything from a kennel for the dog to a heat lamp for a reptile — supplies, beds, food bowls, cages, carriers, grooming and accessories for dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens. We hold over 1,100 pet products in stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, from $20 grooming brushes to $800 walk-in chicken coops. Most orders dispatch within 1–2 business days.
What pet supplies do I actually need?
The essentials depend on the species, but for any pet, four categories cover daily needs: somewhere to sleep, somewhere to eat, somewhere to go to the toilet, and somewhere to be when you are not actively interacting. For dogs that means a bed, food and water bowls, a yard or kennel, and a crate or pen. For cats: a bed, bowls, a litter tray, and a scratching post. For birds and rabbits: a suitable cage or hutch, food and water containers, and bedding. Grooming, toys, and travel gear come after these basics.
What categories of pet supplies are available?
| Category | Products | Price guide | Best for |

| Cat supplies | 300+ | $20–$300 | Trees, litter trays, beds, toys, carriers |
| Bird supplies | 40+ | $30–$300 | Cages, perches, feeders |
| Aquarium | 5+ | $30–$200 | Tanks, filters, pumps, ornaments |
| Coops and hutches | 140+ | $80–$700 | Chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs |
| Pet beds and mats | 320+ | $30–$200 | Indoor sleep, cooling, orthopaedic |
Quick buyer's checklist
- Size to pet, not breed: A "large dog" bed needs to fit your specific dog, not the average
- Material for daily use: Removable washable covers handle accidents
- Climate match: Outdoor kennels need weather sealing; indoor beds do not
- Growth allowance: Puppies and kittens double in size; buy adult-sized where sensible
- Vet-approved materials: Avoid loose chew materials in toys for power chewers
- Replacement timing: Most pet beds last 2–4 years before flattening
How much should I budget for a new pet's first month of supplies?
Setup costs vary by species, but a realistic ballpark: a new dog needs around $200–400 for bed, bowls, lead, crate or kennel, food and basic toys. A new cat needs $150–300 for bed, scratching post, litter tray, bowls and toys. A new bird needs $200–500 depending on cage size. Rabbits and guinea pigs need $300–600 because the hutch is the most expensive piece. Fish setup runs $150–300 for tank, filter, heater and decorations on top of the fish themselves. These are one-off setup costs; ongoing weekly food and litter is the second budget line.
What most pet stores won't admit
Almost every pet product sold online in Australia is imported from China, Vietnam or Thailand — including ours. The real difference is not where the product is made, it's what happens after it lands in Australia. Marketplaces dropship straight from overseas containers, which is why "fast delivery" stretches into six weeks. We import in bulk, hold stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, and ship from there.
The other thing nobody mentions: pet beds and mats wear out faster than the marketing suggests. A typical $50 dog bed lasts 6–12 months of regular use before the filling compresses flat. Better-quality beds with replaceable inner cushions last 3–5 years. If your dog or cat sleeps in their bed nightly, paying twice as much upfront usually saves money over the life of the pet.
Frequently asked questions
What if my pet product arrives damaged?
Contact us within 7 days with photos. We will arrange a replacement or refund under the 12-month warranty. Transit damage is uncommon with most pet products.
How long does delivery take?
Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane: 3–5 business days. Perth and Adelaide: 5–8 days. Regional and remote areas: 7–14 days.
Can I pay with Afterpay, Zip or PayPal?
Yes, all three. A $200 pet purchase works out to four payments of $50 with Afterpay, four payments of $50 with PayPal Pay in 4, or roughly $17 a month with Zip over 12 months. Klarna is also available.
What's the warranty?
12 months on manufacturing defects, plus 15-day returns on unused items in original packaging.
