Most online USB cables and adaptors in Australia ship from overseas warehouses, which is why "fast delivery" usually means six weeks. Ours don't. We hold stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses and dispatch within 1-2 business days. USB cables and adaptors from $8.
What USB cable or adaptor do I need?
Match the cable to the devices at both ends. iPhone 14 and earlier need Lightning; iPhone 15+ needs USB-C. Most Android phones, tablets, laptops and headphones now use USB-C. For high-speed data or 4K monitor connections, check the cable is rated USB 3.0 or higher. Length matters too — longer cables drop charging speed slightly.
What types of USB cables and adaptors are available?
You'll find USB-C, Lightning, USB-A, micro-USB and multi-adaptor options. Each has specific uses:
| Type | Best For | Price Guide | Key Feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| USB-C to USB-C | Modern phones, laptops | $10–$40 | Fast charging, data, video |
| Lightning | iPhone 14 and older | $15–$50 | MFi-certified brands last longer |
| USB-A to USB-C | Older wall chargers | $8–$25 | Legacy compatibility |
| HDMI Adaptors | Laptop to monitor/TV | $20–$60 | USB-C to HDMI or DP |
| Multi-Adaptors | Universal fit, travel | $20–$50 | 3-in-1 or 4-in-1 tips |
How much do USB cables and adaptors cost in Australia?
Basic cables start from $8. Mid-range fast-charging cables and adaptors sit between $15–$40. Premium braided cables, MFi-certified Lightning cables and 4K HDMI adaptors go $30–$80. We dispatch within 1–2 business days from our Australian warehouses.
Quick Buyer's Checklist
- Connector types: Confirm what's on both ends — USB-C to USB-C is not the same as USB-A to USB-C
- Data rate: USB 2.0 (480Mbps) is fine for charging; USB 3.0+ for external storage
- Power rating: 60W+ for fast phone charging; 100W for laptops
- MFi certification: Look for MFi on Lightning cables — cheap ones fail in 3-6 months
- Length: 1m for desk; 2m for lounge; 3m if the socket is across the room
What most cable sites won't admit
Almost every USB cable and adaptor sold online in Australia is imported from China or Taiwan — including ours. The real difference isn't where they're made; it's what happens after they land. Marketplaces dropship straight from overseas containers, which is why "fast delivery" turns into six weeks. We import in bulk, hold stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, and ship from there.
The other thing nobody mentions: "USB 3.0" written on a cable doesn't guarantee 3.0 speeds. Cheap manufacturers sometimes use USB 2.0 wiring internally and slap USB 3.0 branding on the outside. If you're using cables for external SSDs or video, buy from labelled and tested brands — the extra $10 pays off in years of reliable performance.
Frequently asked questions
What if my cable arrives damaged?
Contact us within 7 days with photos. We'll replace or refund under our 12-month warranty. Transit damage is rare (under 2%), but we sort it within 48 hours.
How long does delivery take?
Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane: 3–5 business days. Perth and Adelaide: 5–8 days. Regional and remote areas: 7–14 days.
Can I pay with Afterpay, Zip or PayPal?
Yes, all three. A $60 cable bundle works out to four payments of $15 with Afterpay or four payments of $15 with PayPal Pay in 4. Zip offers up to 12 months.
Will your USB-C cable charge my MacBook?
Yes if it's rated 60W or higher. MacBook Air needs 30W minimum; MacBook Pro needs 96–100W. Check the cable rating on the product page.

Three items most buyers add at the same time: mobile accessories, USB gadgets, and battery chargers and power. Buy at least two cables per device — one for home, one for travel.
