Pilates, toning and yoga equipment cover the controlled, low-impact training that builds core strength, flexibility and posture without heavy weights. Our range covers pilates reformers, pilates balls and barrels, magic circles and resistance rings, yoga mats and props, exercise balls and stability balls, balance discs and cushions, toning rods and weighted bars, and pilates resistance bands. Over 70 pilates and yoga products in stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, from $30 yoga blocks to $1,200 pilates reformers. Most orders dispatch within 1–2 business days.
Pilates or yoga — what's the difference?
They overlap but train different things. Pilates focuses on controlled, precise movements that target core stability, postural muscles and joint alignment — think slow, deliberate work with breath control. Equipment-based pilates (reformer or tower) adds spring resistance for strength building. Yoga blends physical postures with breath and meditation — the physical work develops flexibility, balance and total-body strength, with hundreds of variations across styles (Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Ashtanga). Most people who start with one end up doing both. The starter equipment overlaps substantially: a quality yoga mat, blocks, a strap and a bolster handle the home version of both practices for around $100–150.

| Pilates ball (small) | Core, alignment | $20–$50 | 3–5 years |
| Stability ball (Swiss ball) | Core, posture | $30–$80 | 2–4 years |

Do I need a pilates reformer at home?
Only if you've been doing reformer pilates in a studio and want to continue at home. A reformer is the specialised pilates apparatus with a sliding carriage, springs and straps — it offers around 200 exercises that can't be replicated on a mat. The benefit is faster strength gains and more controlled resistance than mat work. The cost: $400–700 for a home-quality reformer, $1,000–1,500 for studio-quality. Floor space needs around 2.5m of length. For people who do classical pilates classes regularly, a home reformer pays for itself in 6–12 months of saved studio fees. For people new to pilates, start with a mat, magic circle and stability ball ($100 total) — you'll learn whether you stick with the practice before committing to the reformer.
Quick buyer's checklist
- Mat thickness: 6mm for pilates (joint cushioning); 4mm for yoga (balance)
- Mat grip: Natural rubber grips best when sweaty; PVC suits drier practice
- Block density: Foam for beginners, cork for advanced (cork is firmer)
- Strap length: 2m+ for most adults; longer for taller users
- Ball size: 55cm Swiss ball for under 165cm height; 65cm for 165–180cm; 75cm for taller
- Reformer: Match spring count to body weight; 3–4 springs for adults
Stability ball size — how do I pick the right one?
Match the ball to your sitting height. The rule: when seated on the ball with feet flat on the floor, your knees should bend at a right angle (90 degrees). For people under 165cm tall, a 55cm ball works. For 165–180cm, a 65cm ball. For 180–190cm, a 75cm ball. Over 190cm, an 85cm ball. Get the wrong size and the ball is either too small (knees above hips, encouraging slouching) or too big (knees below hips, harder to balance). Most balls come slightly under-inflated; pump to the manufacturer's height marking, not maximum firmness — over-firm balls bounce too much for stable core work.
How much should I spend on yoga and pilates gear?
For a home practice starter, $100–200 covers everything you need: a mat ($40–60), a pair of blocks ($25–40), a strap ($15–20), and optionally a stability ball or magic circle ($30–60). Add a bolster ($40–80) if you do restorative or yin yoga. Going premium on the mat alone is worthwhile — a quality 6mm natural rubber mat lasts 3–5 years versus 1–2 for cheap PVC, and the grip difference makes practice noticeably better. The other items hold up well at lower price points.
What most fitness stores won't admit
Almost every pilates and yoga product sold online in Australia is imported from China — including ours. The real difference is not where the gear is made, it's what happens after it lands in Australia. Marketplaces dropship straight from overseas containers, which is why "fast delivery" stretches into six weeks. We import in bulk, hold stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, and ship from there.
The other thing nobody mentions: most yoga mat "non-slip" claims are unreliable. The grip is fine in a dry studio at 22°C, but the same mat slides like glass once you start sweating. Natural rubber grips genuinely well even when wet, with a sticky feel that comes from the material itself rather than a surface treatment. PVC and TPE mats often need a yoga towel laid on top for hot yoga or longer practice. If you're investing in just one piece of gear, the mat is the one to buy properly — a $60–80 natural rubber mat outperforms a $20–40 PVC mat in every way that matters during practice.
Frequently asked questions
What if my equipment arrives damaged?
Contact us within 7 days with photos. We will arrange a replacement or refund under the 12-month warranty. Transit damage is uncommon with packaged gear; reformers ship in multiple boxes and need careful unpacking.
How long does assembly take?
Small items (mats, blocks, balls): no assembly. Stability balls: 5–10 minutes to pump up (pump usually included). Pilates reformers: 60–120 minutes for one person. Tools and instructions are included.
How long does delivery take?
Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane: 3–5 business days. Perth and Adelaide: 5–8 days. Regional and remote areas: 7–14 days. Reformers and bulkier items may take 1–2 days longer.
Can I pay with Afterpay, Zip or PayPal?
Yes, all three. A $200 starter kit works out to four payments of $50 with Afterpay, four payments of $50 with PayPal Pay in 4, or roughly $17 a month with Zip over 12 months. Klarna is also available.
What's the warranty?
12 months on manufacturing defects, plus 15-day returns on unused items in original packaging.
Complete the pilates and yoga setup
Pilates and yoga gear covers the practice essentials, and a few pieces round out a complete home wellness setup. Most home practitioners add three at the same time: mats and rollers for floor work and recovery, fitness accessories for general workouts, and a strapping and compression kit for injury prevention.
