Marketplaces dropship straight from overseas containers, which is why "fast delivery" turns into six weeks. The other thing nobody mentions: benchtop overhang. If you want stools at your island, the benchtop needs at least 25cm overhang on the seating side. Without overhang, your knees hit the cabinet front. Many flat-pack islands don't include overhang by default.
