Heaters cover the seasonal warmth most Australian homes need 3–6 months of the year — from quick-warming portable units for bedrooms to large convection panels for open-plan spaces. Our range covers electric column heaters (oil-filled), convection panel heaters, fan heaters, ceramic heaters, infrared radiant heaters, tower heaters, and outdoor patio heaters. Over 80 heaters in stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, from $40 small ceramic heaters to $400 commercial outdoor gas patio heaters. Most orders dispatch within 1–2 business days.
Which heater type suits my space?
Match the heater to the room size and how you'll use it. For a single small bedroom (10–15m²), a 1500–2000W ceramic or fan heater warms the space in 10–15 minutes and costs $40–80. For larger bedrooms and home offices (15–20m²), an oil column heater (2000–2400W) provides sustained even warmth without fan noise — ideal for overnight running. For living rooms and open-plan areas (20–40m²), a convection panel heater (2000–2400W) or tower heater handles the space. For outdoor entertaining, a gas or electric patio heater (1500–2100W radiant) keeps the immediate area warm even in cool wind. Running cost is the biggest factor most buyers miss — a 2400W heater running 8 hours a day adds about $4–6 to the daily electricity bill, or $100–180 per month.

Oil column or panel heater for an overnight bedroom?
Oil column heaters are the safer overnight choice. They warm by radiant heat from oil-filled fins, retain warmth for 30–60 minutes after switching off (banking heat into the room), produce no noise, and have no exposed hot surfaces that could burn skin or set fabric alight. Convection panel heaters work similarly but warm air faster and cool faster after switch-off — better for short use (1–2 hours), less suited to overnight running. Fan heaters and ceramic heaters with fans should never be left on overnight unattended — the fans run dust through the heating element which can ignite if dust builds up over time. For bedrooms used 6+ hours per night in winter, an oil column heater on a thermostat plus a timer is the practical setup.
Quick buyer's checklist
- Power rating: 1500W warms 10–15m²; 2400W warms 20–30m²; bigger rooms need multiple heaters
- Thermostat: Essential for cost control; cycles on/off to maintain set temperature
- Timer: 1–24 hour timer reduces wasted running when you're asleep or out
- Tip-over protection: Essential safety feature; cuts power if knocked over
- Overheat protection: Essential; cuts power if internal temperature exceeds safe limit
- Noise level: Oil column and panel heaters silent; fans and ceramics have noise
- Remote control: Useful for living room heaters; not necessary for bedrooms
What's the cheapest way to heat my home in winter?
Counter-intuitive answer: a reverse-cycle air conditioner is significantly cheaper to run than electric heaters of any kind. A reverse-cycle aircon delivers 3–5 kWh of heat per 1 kWh of electricity used (the COP rating); electric heaters deliver 1 kWh of heat per 1 kWh of electricity (no multiplication). For a Melbourne winter heating bedrooms 6 hours per night for 4 months, a reverse-cycle aircon costs $150–250 in electricity; an equivalent electric heater costs $400–600. The trade-off is the upfront cost — a split-system reverse-cycle aircon runs $1,200–2,500 installed vs $80–200 for an electric heater. For heating a single room occasionally, electric heaters win on total cost. For heating multiple rooms over 3–4 months a year, reverse-cycle pays back within 2–3 winters. Plan for it before buying.
What most appliance stores won't admit
Almost every electric heater sold online in Australia is imported from China — including ours. The real difference is not where the heater is made, it's what happens after it lands in Australia. Marketplaces dropship straight from overseas containers, which is why "fast delivery" stretches into six weeks. We import in bulk, hold stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, and ship from there.
The other thing nobody mentions: electric heaters all produce roughly the same heat for the same wattage. A $40 ceramic heater and a $200 panel heater both produce 2000W of heat from 2000W of electricity — the laws of thermodynamics don't care about brand or price. The price difference reflects build quality, safety features, thermostat accuracy, control options (timer, remote), and aesthetics — not heat output. If pure heating performance is the only concern, the cheapest 2400W heater warms the room as fast as the most expensive. The premium models earn their cost through quieter operation, longer lifespan (5+ years vs 1–2), better safety, and thermostat precision (saves 20–30% on running costs).
Frequently asked questions
What if my heater arrives damaged?
Contact us within 7 days with photos. We will arrange a replacement or refund under the 12-month warranty. Transit damage is uncommon with packaged heaters; check the heating element and casing for visible damage.
Can I leave the heater on overnight?
Oil column and panel heaters with thermostats are safe for overnight use. Fan heaters, ceramic heaters with fans, and radiant heaters should not be left on unattended. Always keep all heaters at least 1 metre from curtains, beds and furniture.
How long does delivery take?
Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane: 3–5 business days. Perth and Adelaide: 5–8 days. Regional and remote areas: 7–14 days.
Can I pay with Afterpay, Zip or PayPal?
Yes, all three. A $200 heater works out to four payments of $50 with Afterpay, four payments of $50 with PayPal Pay in 4, or a small monthly amount with Zip. Klarna is also available.
What's the warranty?
12 months on manufacturing defects, plus 15-day returns on unused heaters in original packaging.
Complete the climate setup
A heater handles winter, and a few pieces round out year-round climate control. Most households add three at the same time: an air conditioner for summer cooling, a fan for milder days, and an air humidifier for the winter dry air heaters create.
