The other thing nobody mentions: seat height for your bench. Kitchen bench stools need 65cm seat height (for 90cm benches). Kitchen island stools need 75cm (for 105cm islands). Getting this wrong means uncomfortable dining or knees hitting the underside. Measure your bench height first.
