Blenders cover smoothies, soups, sauces, nut butters and ice crushing — the kitchen appliance most home cooks reach for daily once they own a good one. Our range covers personal single-serve blenders, jug blenders for family use, high-power blenders for smoothies and nut butters, immersion stick blenders, blender-juicer combos, and food processor-blender hybrids. Over 40 blenders in stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, from $50 personal blenders to $400 commercial-grade high-power blenders. Most orders dispatch within 1–2 business days.
Personal, jug, or high-power blender — which do I need?
Match the blender to what you actually make. Personal single-serve blenders (300–800ml) make one smoothie at a time directly in the cup you drink from — minimal cleanup, ideal for daily morning smoothies, but they struggle with ice and fibrous greens like kale. Jug blenders (1.5–2L) handle batch smoothies, soups, sauces and most everyday blending tasks — the practical default for most kitchens. High-power blenders (1,000W+, often called "performance blenders") pulverise anything including nut butters, frozen fruit, vegetable smoothies with leafy greens, and ice into snow — the right choice for serious smoothie drinkers and anyone making soup from raw vegetables. The mistake most buyers make is paying for a high-power blender when a $150 jug blender would handle their actual use case. Match the spec to the work, not the marketing.
What blender types are available?
| Type | Best for | Power | Price guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal blender | Single smoothies, no cleanup | 300–800W | $50–$150 |
| Jug blender (standard) | Family smoothies, soups | 500–800W | $80–$200 |
| High-power blender | Tough ingredients, nut butters | 1,000–1,500W | $200–$500 |
| Immersion stick blender | Soups in the pot, small jobs | 200–400W | $40–$150 |
| Blender-juicer combo | Both functions | 500–1,000W | $120–$300 |
| Blender-food processor | Versatile single appliance | 700–1,000W | $150–$350 |
What wattage actually matters?
Power claims are widely inflated in marketing copy. A 600W jug blender from a reputable brand often outperforms a 1,200W generic blender because the motor quality, blade design and bearings matter more than the wattage number. For smoothies with soft fruit and a bit of ice, any 500W+ blender works fine. For frozen fruit and tougher ingredients, 800W+ is needed. For nut butters, smoothies with kale and frozen banana, or vegetable soups blended from raw, 1,000W+ with good blade geometry is the genuine threshold. The blade should sit close to the jug walls (no "dead zones" where ingredients escape blending) and the jug shape should encourage the contents to circulate down through the blades — V-shaped or contoured jugs work better than straight-sided ones. Reading reviews on real-world smoothie performance tells you more than the wattage label.
Quick buyer's checklist
- Power: 500W casual; 800W regular; 1,000W+ tough ingredients
- Jug capacity: 1L for couples; 1.5–2L for families
- Jug material: Tritan plastic lighter; glass heavier but won't stain
- Speed settings: 3–6 useful; variable speed for fine control
- Tamper: Essential for high-power blenders making nut butters
- Dishwasher-safe parts: Saves daily cleanup time
- Noise level: Most blenders are loud; better motors quieter
How much do blenders cost in Australia?
Blenders at Simple Deals start from $40 for compact stick blenders. Most quality jug blenders sit between $80 and $200, with high-power performance blenders and food processor combos running higher. All blenders dispatch within 1–2 business days from our Australian warehouses.
What most appliance stores won't admit
Almost every blender sold online in Australia is made in China — including ours. Even premium brand-name blenders (Vitamix, Blendtec, Breville) source components from China and assemble elsewhere. The real difference is not where the blender is made, it's what happens after it lands in Australia. Marketplaces dropship straight from overseas containers, which is why "fast delivery" stretches into six weeks. We import in bulk, hold stock across our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses, and ship from there.
The other thing nobody mentions: blender jug seals fail before motors do. The rubber seal at the base of the jug (where the blade assembly meets the jug) is the most common failure point in blenders — it tears, hardens with heat, or simply degrades after 200–500 uses. When the seal fails, smoothies leak from the base mid-blend. Cheaper blenders typically use a press-fit seal that can't be replaced easily, making the whole jug a 1–2 year disposable. Better blenders use a screw-thread seal with replaceable rubber, extending jug life to 5–10 years. Check whether replacement seals are available before buying — it's the single biggest determinant of how long the blender will actually serve you.
Frequently asked questions
What if my blender arrives damaged?
Contact us within 7 days with photos. We will arrange a replacement or refund under the 12-month warranty. Transit damage is uncommon with packaged blenders; check the blade housing and jug for cracks on receipt.
Can I put the blender jug in the dishwasher?
Varies by model. Most plastic Tritan jugs are dishwasher-safe (top rack only); glass jugs may be top-shelf safe. The blade assembly should always be hand-washed — dishwashers dull the blades over time.
How long does delivery take?
Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane: 3–5 business days. Perth and Adelaide: 5–8 days. Regional and remote areas: 7–14 days.
Can I pay with Afterpay, Zip or PayPal?
Yes, all three. A $200 blender works out to four payments of $50 with Afterpay, four payments of $50 with PayPal Pay in 4, or a small monthly amount with Zip. Klarna is also available.
What's the warranty?
12 months on manufacturing defects, plus 15-day returns on unused blenders in original packaging.
Complete the kitchen prep setup
A blender handles smoothies and soups, and a few pieces round out the prep counter. Most kitchens add three at the same time: a coffee machine for the morning routine, a kettle for tea and quick boils, and an air fryer for the cooking side.
