Are smart Wi-Fi baby monitors secure?
Most reputable Wi-Fi baby monitors encrypt their video stream and require a password to access. The risks come from poor setup rather than the device itself: factory-default passwords left unchanged, weak Wi-Fi passwords, or accessing the monitor on public Wi-Fi. Set up the monitor on your home Wi-Fi only, change the default password to something strong, and use two-factor authentication if the app offers it.
